It will feature a dryland mushing demonstration, where mushers take their dogs out on a trail without snow, attached to a cart or bicycle. Acworth Sports Complex
Freedom Church and the City of Acworth have partnered together for an Easter Egg Hunt that you will never forget! Using a helicopter and numerous volunteers, thousands of plastic eggs will be dropped onto the fields at the Acworth Sports Complex.
The hunt will be for children under the age of 12. The children will be broken up into four age groups. The 1 year olds – 2 year old division will begin at 10:10 a.m. The 3 – 5 year olds will begin their hunt at 10:20 a.m. At 10:30 a.m. the 6 – 8 year olds and the 9 – 11 year olds’ hunt will begin. Within each age group there will be prize eggs that can be redeemed for great prizes.
This year we will have a Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt on the Horizon Field. This hunt will begin at 9:45 a.m.
Ben Fowlkes, Children’s Pastor of Freedom Church, said ““Dropping thousands of eggs from a helicopter might sound like a crazy idea, but last year Acworth saw first hand how much fun eggs falling from the sky can be.”
Five fields will be covered in plastic eggs and children will have the chance to collect as many eggs as possible and redeem them for heaps of candy!
If you would like more information on this event, please contact Freedom Church at 770-529-6006, visit www.acwortheggdrop.com or www.acworth.org/aprd.
FHA Changes
1) On FHA Case numbers assigned on or after April 5, 2010, up-front mortgage insurance
premium (MIP) will increase to 2.25%. (previously 1.75%)
2) As of February 1, 2010, FHA has eased up on its 90-day "flipping rule" with regard
to re-sale of properties that are not bank-owned/foreclosures. The waiver exists if :
a) It is an arms-length transaction and
b) If the sales price of the property is 20% more than the Seller's acquisition cost,
the value is justified by supporting documentation and/or a second appraisal which
verifies that renovation, repair, and rehabilitation work substantiates the increase in value.
Changes on the way:
3) Reduce allowable seller concessions from 6% to 3% The current level exposes the FHA to excess risk by creating incentives to inflate appraised value. This change will bring FHA into conformity with industry standards on seller concessions. This change was posted in the Federal Register in February, and after a notice and comment period, would go into effect in the early summer.
4) Update the combination of FICO scores and down payments for new borrowers.
New borrowers will now be required to have a minimum FICO score of 580 to qualify for FHA's 3.5% down payment program. New borrowers with less than a 580 FICO score will be required to put down at least 10%.
This allows the FHA to better balance its risk and continue to provide access for those borrowers who have historically performed well.
This change was posted in the Federal Register in February and, after a notice and comment period, would go into effect in the early summer.
